Firex is Dedatek's fire-retardant acoustic foam range developed with a special chemical formulation. With UNI 9175 Class 1IM (Italian public-area standard) and BS 476 Class 0 (UK fire-spread limit) certifications it is the standard product for fire-sensitive projects: public buildings, cinemas, hotels, hospitals, schools and road tunnels.
What is Firex?
Firex is a foam family produced by adding fire-retardant additives to standard acoustic foam, so that it does not ignite or only burns in a very limited way on contact with flame. Where classic PU foam ignites within 5-10 seconds, Firex foam does not sustain combustion and does not drip even on direct flame contact — a critical property for public buildings.
