Floor Products

Rubber sheet, cork mat, acoustic mat and carpet tile systems for impact noise and structural vibration control. Reduces upper-floor noise by 22-30 dB.

Summary

Acoustic floor products are rubber sheets, cork mats and acoustic mat systems that reduce upper-floor impact noise and structural vibration. Installed under floating screed they deliver 22-30 dB impact-noise reduction. Critical for apartments, hotels, offices and fitness rooms where upstairs noise is an issue.

Why is floor sound insulation important?

Footsteps, furniture moving and impact noise from above transmit to the lower floor as structural vibration, not as airborne sound. So even with wall and ceiling insulation, upstairs noise persists if the floor is left untouched. Floor sound insulation places an elastic layer between the screed and structural slab, breaking the path of structural vibration.

Which product types are available?

  • Rubber sheet (5-25 mm): high impact resistance, ideal for heavy traffic
  • Cork mat (3-10 mm): natural material, classic under-parquet choice
  • Acoustic mat (5-20 mm): polyester or foam-based, broad use
  • Carpet tile (raised floor): acoustic-backed carpet for office and modular floors
  • Floating floor systems: rubber + cork combination, top performance
  • Under-parquet acoustic membrane: fast install, thin profile

Where is it used?

  • Apartment upper-lower floor sound insulation
  • Hotel room floor acoustics
  • Office between-floor
  • Fitness room, dance / pilates studio
  • Hospital and clinic corridors
  • Concert hall / stage
  • Data centre raised-floor system

How does floating screed work?

Floating screed is a screed layer fully decoupled from the walls and substructure. Acoustic mat is laid; 50-80 mm concrete screed is poured on top; resilient edge tape is applied to walls. As the screed "floats", impact vibration does not travel into the structure. In our practice, floating screed alone delivers 22-28 dB impact-noise reduction.

How to choose the right product?

  1. Load: 5-10 mm enough for residential; 15-25 mm needed for fitness.
  2. Target reduction: ΔLw 22 dB minimum is acceptable for apartments.
  3. Build-height limit: if thin profile is mandatory, use a high-performance formula.
  4. Humidity / temperature: use suitable material for bathrooms, kitchens, outdoors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Floor Products products have fire-resistance certificates?
Yes. All our products carry international fire-resistance certificates: BS476:Class 0, UNI 9175:2008 M1 and the Firex fire-resistance certificate. If needed we can share a copy of the certificate for the specific product.
Are custom sizes / colors / thicknesses available?
Yes. Many of our products can be produced with custom cuts, custom colors and the requested thickness. Once you share your project dimensions we get back to you with the most suitable product and specifications.
How are shipping and delivery handled?
In-stock items ship the same day (a dedicated delivery option is also available within Istanbul). For custom-cut orders the preparation time is 2-5 business days; on larger projects we deliver in batches according to the project schedule.
Can we install the product ourselves?
Most of our products are user-friendly for standard applications and ship with an installation guide. For industrial or complex projects we recommend support from our professional installation team.
Are bulk discounts available?
Yes, pricing is tailored to the scope of the project. We offer custom discounts and payment options for high-volume projects. You can reach us via the quote form or by phone.
